Town
of Ocean City, Maryland – In a QBS (Qualification-Based
Selection) process, Ocean City selected AXIS to perform
update mapping of the Town’s existing digital
50 scale planimetric and topographic mapping as well
as produce new, seamless color digital orthoimagery
for the entire Ocean City Area.
The Town’s existing 3D AutoCad data developed
in 2000, was evaluated in a Softcopy Stereo environment
for changes. On computer monitors, 3D map/survey information
is superimposed over the stereo imagery. AXIS photogrammetrists
then go over every acre identifying changes in both
physical features and terrain.
