County, Maryland – has contracted with
AXIS to provide Countywide Color Digital OrthoImagery.
Combining Airborne GPS, Ground-based GPS and LIDAR,
AXIS has produced approximately 600 - .25 meter pixel
digital ortho tiles conforming to the MSGIC
standards.
Using softcopy stereo stations, AXIS verified and updated
the County’s LIDAR data for use in digital ortho
production. The digital orthoimagery will be used in
future to assist in the County’s E911 efforts
towards Phase II compliancy.
