Business Development Federal Manager
In this role you will have to opportunity to:
Work collaboratively with the Sales and Marketing team to develop business primarily in Federal/Civil agencies and DoD/Intel agencies requiring geospatial services. You will use your specialized knowledge and experience to develop new business in agencies such as the USGS, USACE, NOAA, NAVFAC and the VA through an established professional network.
You are responsible for:
Identifying creating, developing, and driving opportunities for obtaining federal government contracts;
Developing and driving detailed customer focused strategic plan for targeted organizations;
Leading capture teams from lead development, estimates, proposal development, technical response, project initiation and account management;
Understanding the client’s budgets and acquisition timelines;
Developing, managing, and maintaining healthy customer pipelines;
Managing and ensuring customer satisfaction on all assigned accounts;
Supporting all business development activities by representing the company at client meetings, conference and trade shows, and by developing and managing long term strategy to promote growth through partnering.
To succeed in this, you should have the following skills and experience:
Broad understanding of Federal Government contracting vehicles, budgeting and procurement;
Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR)
General understanding of aerial remote sensing, LiDAR, photogrammetry surveying, GIS and Engineering
Significant experience in Geospatial, Photogrammetry, LiDAR, Surveying and Engineering will be of best benefit;
Highly motivated team player with a mature, positive attitude and passion to meet the challenges and opportunities of a business;
Support proposal development activities by understanding the RFP and contributing to writing/editing/review as necessary;
Able to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical personnel, educating and presenting information to customers;
Experience managing large projects and/or initiatives;
5+ years of leadership or sales experience providing geospatial data to clients, specifically Federal;
Able to effectively communicate and coordinate on a continuous basis with senior management, project managers, and operations staff;
Be detail-oriented and self-motivated, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as a willingness and ability to learn in a fast-paced research & development environment;
Ability to travel domestically up to 50%;
Valid driver’s license
